The Society for Professional Ethics and Management was founded on 23rd January 2008 by Dr C G Krishnadas Nair (then Chancellor, JAIN [Deemed to be] University) with the active support of many distinguished personalities, with the objective of creating greater awareness and emphasis on adherence to ethical values in our day to today life and in our profession for achieving excellence. Society for Professional Ethics and Management was founded with the objective of creating greater awareness and emphasis on adherence to ethical values in our day to today life and in our profession for achieving excellence. In this materialistic world with uncontrolled race for success (measured in terms of accumulation of material wealth) with closed eyes towards corrupt practices, it is essential that the youth along with elderly must take the challenge of spreading the message of the need for adherence to ethical values for sustainable success. Excellence in personal and professional life can be achieved by adhering to ethical values upholding our responsibility to society, nature and environment.
The Society is registered as a public Charitable Trust u/s 12AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (India). Accounts of the Society are audited every year by a Chartered Accountants’ firm. Donations to the Society will be eligible for tax exemption U/s 80G(5)(vi) of the IT Act, 1961.
Board of Trustees
The Society is managed by a Board of Trustees. The main responsibility of the Trust is to provide necessary advice and guidance in managing the affairs of the trust and to nurture the activities of the trust to achieve its objective. Management and administration of the properties and affairs are vested in the trustees. The Board consists of permanent Founder Trustees and nominated Trustees – nominated by the permanent Trustees or by Patron Donor Members or Academic Institution Members. The permanent Trustees have an option to retire due to old age or other personal reasons, and the nominated Trustees have a term of 3 years which may be renewed or otherwise. Changes in the composition of the Trustees will be posted on the Society’s website for public awareness.
